Quick survey: I somehow managed to twist the hell out of my knee this morning by just sitting myself down in my office chair. It takes special talent to do something like that, I tell you. I'm still quite impressed with myself

usually when you twist something you wanna give it a rest. you can walk off a pain in your muscle, but not if it's the ligament - might cause more harm *says the doctor's niece/cousin/second cousin/... (lots of doctors in my family)*
I got rid of the stupid swively office chair because my knees got horribly swollen. Process of elimination pointed to getting in & out of the chair as the culprit. You get that little torque when you sit down/get up. I swear, those chairs are best for people who sit on their asses all day.
Resting my knees and making sure to elevate my legs a few minutes a day for improved blood flow (and getting rid of the chair) fixed up my knees in about a week. Make sure you are wearing good-for-your-feet shoes, too.
