100 banned books.
i feel sad to note that i have read very, very few of them. :(  though the ones i have read i am HORRIFIED to see on this list.  Marie and I were just talking about this at the grocery store.  I can't believe that people seriously think they have the right to stop others from reading books. these are just the top 100...most of the books I read would probably still be banned, but they don't, say, have the commercial success like Harry Potter and the like.

Can you imagine if these folks got a hold of "Wrongful Things?" or "Last Chance Texaco?"

Course, if they have a problem with "in the night kitchen," why do we even bother teaching reading?

And you don't suck. I'm just a bibliophile. LOL. Bet they'd ban that word, too.

haha it sounds dirty, i'm offended!

i'm so sheltered i haven't even heard of 3/4 of these books. but i am seriously horrified by the books that are on here.
