Canadian Politics are not supposed to be this exciting

It's beginning to look like the government is going to fall on their disastrous little power games. The opposition parties have drafted a non-confidence vote (which can be introduced in a week after the PM scrambled to clear all votes off the agenda) and there are serious negotiations under way for an unbelievably complex (by our standards)

Well, if the ndp and the liberals form a colition, jack can enter the leadership race fair and square. I think Ignatieff will still take it though.

I don't think the parties would formally merge like the Alliance and PCs did ... it would be a European-style coalition of separate parties that operated as a single entity for the duration of the parliament.
