As part of the grand autumn upgrade plan, I've added a second LCD, a 21.6-inch widescreen monitor to go with my existing 19-inch. It's a pretty sweet setup, but it's going to take a little getting used to.

The ads are all over the place. Future shop is selling a laptop for $599. Except they aren't. They don't have any. In fact a salesman mentioned that it costs the store $660 each, so they never had any intention of selling them. Arwen and I are back from a trip to the farm. Sadly I didn't actually go out and about much ... my tolerance to mosquitoes has diminished over the years of city life. Since getting the new tv, I've been going through my DvD library, rewatching everything. With 5-6x the screen area of my university tv and far better resolution to boot, the difference in some films is staggering.
