you can still have a clean record. spotless. ask your lawyer about a conditional discharge if you think you can keep a bottle or pipe from your mouth for six months. It's absolutely worth it and it's an opportunity you're only given on your first offense. Otherwise, have fun checking the "Have you ever been convicted of a crime?" box on every school/job application you fill out from now on.
