Today I'm officially in my 2nd trimester! The baby is the size of a lime. To celebrate I'm drinking limeaid. :)

I'm still feeling fine, I have another ultrasound on Friday. I'll update again then.

We had our first ultrasound today! It went well, the baby is measuring right on schedule and they saw a good, strong heartbeat. They gave me 3 pictures to keep, so I scanned them for y'all! They're behind the cut ( Read more... )

So apparently my insurance wouldn't cover my first prenatal appointment and the ultrasound if they were on the same day, so I had all the yucky stuff done yesterday. The ultrasound is tomorrow. Well I met with Jeanean, the midwife I mentioned in my last post, and LOVE her. I'm so happy. She has access to birth at two different hospitals, but she recommended the one in McKinney for the birth as they're more natural birth friendly there. My midwife appointment yesterday was cancelled because of the bad weather. It is rescheduled for next Tuesday. Then the Tuesday after that, I will go and get a sonogram, etc. So wait wait wait. I'm excited!

I'm still feeling good! I'm hungry a lot, I think I'm going to scurry off and eat a pickle.
