Fortunately for Jenny, Jamie was rather used to winding up places that are not where originally intended. He thought perhaps it simply ran in the family, this particular trait, though he had manners enough not to say so to Jenny. Especially not when she was already blushing from embarrassment at it.

"Cannae be any worse than some of the places the TARDIS has landed," he told her reassuringly. "I'm not sure if ye know this or not, but your dad never ends up where he means to."

He glanced over his shoulder, half expecting the Doctor and Zoe to still be standing there, right where he left them. A pang of guilt hit Jamie when he realized that no, of course they weren't there, and it was silly to think, even unwillingly, that they might be. He left them, and now there was nothing he could do about it. Not that he was entirely regretful. He wanted to travel with Jenny, it just felt terrible to have walked out on the Doctor like that when he had been in such a crisis. Still though, nothing to be done about that now.

It was something Jenny had learned while she had travelled with her father. Every day had been something new, another planet and another adventure, sometimes a time and place she couldn't even imagine. The thought made her miss him for a moment, wondering if the dad she had just left behind would be okay.

Well, of course he would. He still had to live to have her, didn't he?

So Jenny smiled and nodded. "He doesn't, does he?"

From the way in which she said it, she couldn't sound any prouder.

Jamie smiled over at Jenny. The Doctor might have been her father, but he was Jamie's best friend, and it made him glad to hear her sound so proud about him.

"Aye, well," he said, shuffling his feet a bit. "I'm just glad we didn't end up in the Himalayas, or in the middle of an ocean or any such place this time." He had no idea if where they were was even anywhere remotely near what Jenny had been hoping for, but it looked docile enough.

Jenny nodded, trying her best to follow along. The Himalayas must have been some strange star system her dad took Jamie too. It was hard to wonder too much when Jamie smiled at her like that.

"We're on Nevona 9. Just not in my space ship. It's not as big as the TARDIS, but I like it." Her grin turned bashful again, just for a moment. "I hope you'll like it, too."
