Facebook is killing LJ is killing Facebook.

And I feel fine. No, really. Honest.

I don't get it. It's not the same thing. LJ allows for so much more writing, whereas Facebook is just quick fixes. I'm sad about this.

same.

I like the stories, context, and writing of LJ. Plus, you can do short posts too if you want.

Facebook is 99% short quips, feeds from other sites, and quizes. I don't feel like I *know* any of my Facebook friends better for having them as Facebook friends.

I haven't updated my LJ in 12 weeks. Thanks Facebook :)

I like the bloggy aspect of LJ. But, that having been said, it's LAME.

Yeah... this is true. FB is just laziness. And I don't like it now that I think about it. I also realize that I need to have a blog for a public writing portfolio. I'm unsure as to what to do. I love LJ. I have made some good friends here...

Facebook is like online fast food. You know it's shit and that it's bad for you, but it gives just enough easy gratification that it's hard to resist.

Personally, I'm posting to LJ a lot less than I used to, but I can't really blame Facebook for that. I think it's more of a cross between me running out of ideas for LJ posts and spending free time on other things. That said, I would still probably be posting to LJ a little more if I didn't have Facebook around to instantly satisfy my online fix all the time.

A FB status update is exactly what it says on the tin; LJ is better for more narrative-style posts and for essays.

I've been in TV Tropes for eight months, but that's different.
