I'm on vacation from work, which I desperately needed. I haven't taken an actual vacation since I started the job at Disney over 4 years ago

As you can see by the icon, I liked it enough back in the day to make an icon. :-) I haven't watched SPN in years. Totally agree about the first season. I watched a few eps when it started, then stopped, and didn't start watching again until friends said S2 was so much better. I do remember really enjoying the episode where Dean admits he is fully aware of what a jackass he is (with no apparent intention to change) so admire him for that. (No, I can't remember which episode it was.) I liked both characters quite a lot, but lost track of the plot due to RL during season 7 or 8 and despite all my intentions, I never went back and started watching again.
Concerning Supernatural, we're each allowed our own thoughts. :) I tried your favorite show -- the one with Aeyrn(sp?) -- but could never get into it.
I share your thoughts on the horror film and have had far too many nightmares caused by such in the past, but for some reason, Supernatural usually doesn't get me to that point. And I love most of the characters.
But YAY!!!! you for vacation time!!! And FOUR YEARS??? It's really been four years???? I still remember how excited you were when you first started!!
I didn't say I didn't like it, I'm actually rather enjoying it. It's just that I can't "sink into" an episode. There are a lot of things that I like that I know in reading or watching that it's something fictional. (I don't know if that makes sense or not LOL)
Farscape can take getting used to. It's not for everyone. After the pilot, the best way to watch the First Season is to skip to the episode called The Flax. That's really when the series takes off. But again... it's not for everyone. :)
I also have issues with watching police procedurals past dark too. The blood squirting, the 'jump scares', I just can't do it. LOL
It has. LOL I can't believe it's been 4 years already. I started in Sept of 2013.

I am liking SPN, and I'm liking it more and more with each ep. But it still is feeling superficial beyond an episode here or there.
