LJ2ME is being buggy again. I wonder if LJ is doing some kind of upgrade or server change or something. I wish I were geeky smart like the DW folks. -sigh-
I've been an odd mixture of discontent and content lately. I guess it depends what I'm thinking about. :p And I keep having Obvious Epiphanies like that last one. -eye roll-

Oh, I really hope The House in Question turns out to be The House. Really. Besides, houses that need a little work are SO much fun. I'm not talking run-down shanties, but a decent house...

Ours was fine and all, but over my twenty years there, we took ALL the carpeting out and put down tile and wood flooring, and rubber stairs so Mom could mop them easily (haha!). We added on an office above the garage. I've painted every room. We built (and rebuilt twice, for added size) a shed for Dad's outdoor stuff. Dad and I built a treehouse when I was a little lassie. We got a metal roof a few years ago, had the driveway done...

I'm not saying to go buy something that needs this stuff done, but simply... a lot of that stuff is a lot of fun to do together. I have a lot of good memories with home improvements.

Really? That's very interesting! (That you have a lot of good memories of home improvements.) The OCD Perfectionist in me does NOT want it to take 5 years to make my house look the way I want it - maybe I got spoiled by Sims? LOL BUT...There are some things that I would look forward to doing in this house and it really does only need cosmetic work. (Linds, there is LIME GREEN TILE in the KITCHEN!! ON THE WALL!!! WTF????) It's not at all run down though and all I'd want to make sure was done before having company over is painting over the yuk yellow in the kitchen, the lime tile in the kitchen, the dumb green wall in the living room, and making the downstairs bathroom prettier.

I hope it's The House too. :)

I REALLY wish you lived closer so we could do some of this stuff together!! I'm going to be doing a lot of it by myself during the day while Bear is at work and littlePerson is around the corner at my mom's (walking distance! *squee*). AHEM. That is, IF we get the house. LOL
