I got glasses today. I'd post pics, but my hair looks dirty, even though I just took a shower a few hours ago. Maybe I was half asleep and missed with the shampoo. You'll get used to them the more you wear them. Did you really get horn rimmed glasses? I hope so!

I wish I did, but no; maybe after work I will digitally edit myself into some horn rimmed glasses, but I couldnt find any in the physical world to look at.

The ones I got are plastic, brown and kind of plain, but, IMHO, not unattractive.

... about getting used to them -- I think the motion sickness has cleared, but I still have to build up my neck muscles and reflexes, since moving my eyeballs is so useless.

It took me time to get used to slopey looking floors. I still get that for a little bit when I switch between glasses and contacts.

We are an open source community. You should write a better document. If it gets approved as an official whitepaper you could speak at the Red Hat summit in San Diego this year.

I was already planning on it, if I become able. I see this is an old draft but they have a wiki a few links away that could inherit & improve on what they have. bottom line for me, personally, right now, is that I dont know how to do what I want to do anyway, so I wouldnt know what to write. Nothing a little (or a lot) of detective work won't put together.

The best book I have seen on the subject is "Maximum RPM" If you haven't already checked it out.

A bit of careful foraging in antique stores may well turn up horned rimmed frames.Getting lenses made might be a bit pricy though.

That's such a good idea, I really wish I'd asked ahead of time instead of mentioning it after the fact. The money's spent now, though. :-/
