I believe that my mind may be blown as well. I wonder if we could hack a google calendar or outlook to fire the reminders at the appropriate times? I guess it would have to be smarter than that since it seems to be pretty variable, but it would be awesome.

That is a good point. It's not like the guy was blowing us away with his recall, or something. I was kind of taking the word of the psych people from the beginning.
I read this yesterday. It sounds interesting, but the creator of SuperMemo sounds nuts. What's the point of remembering all of that stuff if you never budget time to use it? Although, if people are using it to learn English, perhaps I can use it to learn Cantonese...
It's probably some weird kind of OCD. It's like a hoarding disorder except with stuff he's learned. Most people that try to remember everything they hear don't pay much of a toll on the rest of their lives for it, but he found a way! As Paul mentioned above, even that is assuming he actually remembers as much stuff as he intends to enable himself to do.
