Well then, I'm sure they wouldn't mind you job hunting, playing video games, etc., instead of working, so your performance would drop to match your raise.
The unfortunate truth here is twofold:bizarroludwigJune 29 2006, 19:21:32 UTC
1) it's just way too convenient here on campus for me to take classes and still work full-time. The response to that would be another on-campus job, which I'm not 100% opposed to, which I have tried in the past, which is not entirely easy to accomplish, and to which I would pretty much rather just stick it out here
2) I can do those things as it is, in my abundant free time, completely unnoticed. So no, they wouldn't/don't mind.
I wonder why they bothered with the hassle of filling out paperwork to give you such a raise when they could've just come by, kicked you in the pants, and kept going.
Now, 5 months later, I have found that my 6 years of being an outstanding employee was only eventually rewarded by leniency as I have been a very bad employee for a few months, coming in at ten, eleven, whenever I woke up and felt ready to come in.
I'm trying to work on that, now (I was awake at 7:17AM!!! Yay!!! Then I got up at 7:37AM!! Boo!!!)
Hey, if they can't take a joke, then fuck them, right? :D
At least I knew it was Monday; Friday completely bushwhacked me last week; I seriously have no idea where it came from.
