Okay kids, I'm sorry but standing outside of our school in some sort of protest for the fact that the towns screwed us over is not going to do a damn thing ( Read more... )

That's what I think too, I just didn't take the time to write it out. Everyone thinks that if everyone stands outside the school building for one day it'll do something. No, it's not going to. Doing it for more than a week would get the press' attention, and I sure as hell am not standing outside the school for a week, missing some tests and not getting my homework, just for a few school programs that other schools across the country don't even think of offering.

This is my last year at the damn school, and I want to get through it as soon as possible.

Haha, you know what this reminds me of? That whole "one day gas ban" that spread around earlier.

My point exactly. There is absolutely no point to any of it. It's only going to waste our time and the teachers time.

Plus this new principal is gonna try to prove he's in charge and gonna suspend all the people who are a part of it. I'm gonna be a junior and thats supposed to be the most important year. I'm not gonna screw it up for myself. No thanks.

FIrst off, I met the new principal and he's a really nice guy, he understands what's happening and certainly is sympathetic to our cause. Secondly, I campaigned my ass off and talked to alot of people about getting this passed, and YES, I did beleive it would. ( And yes, a huge factor in it was who voted [the elderly ( ... )

and bri, I am ashamed i didnt vote, cause iw as gonna but i only heard about teh override like friday, so by sun when i thought about it it was too late

but i think the protest is a good idea just to make sure they know we're there, so they think about whop these decitions r effecting. so they cant just over look the students and move on.make sure they dont just forget about it.

Just like to tell you that towns are already working to fix or help things. B-water is dumb (and yes, I happen to live here), but that doesn't mean things aren't happening. Raynham is, but they're being as dumb, I won't get into that, but your rally isn't at the best time. Waiting a bit wouldn't hurt, and more light would be shed on things.

Okay Bry, I understand where you're coming from on this, but you also have to understand where I'm coming from. I'm just as pissed off as everyone else believe me, I need volleyball or I might explode and my extracurriculars are important to me too, but this isn't about me scolding people who are arguing about their right to protest in the vietnam war ( ... )
