June is almost gone. All I have to do is blink and it will be July.

Dad visited earlier in the month and we had a great time. On the first day I took him to see UWB and on the second we went to Snohomish Falls and Cougar Mountain. It rained, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.

Most of my coven was in the parade-dressed as Dionysian maenads and bacchoi. I'd have been there too but had a schedule conflict. You've got a couple of them in your photostream. Yay. :)

What are you getting up to for ALA? I'm getting in Thursday, earlier than I thought, with one of our paras who's finishing her MLIS in tow.

J- and I were at the end of the parade route, and your coven was in pretty sorry shape by then, although I did say hi to Sebastian.

They said later that it was a pretty tiring experience, albeit fun! They were very impressed by the dance troupe in front of them in line, as well.

Sounds like it's been a good month! Would that there were a new faculty tour at VCU. I've heard these things are really good.

Coincidentally, last night I saw a thing about salmon and damns last night. I'd heard about the semi-collapse of salmon fishing off Oregon this summer, but I didn't realize how strong the movement is (apparently) becoming to get rid of four or so dams along the Snake...
