Where to eat

I decided to compile a list of vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in the nearby Sydney area, because sometimes I forget what is there.

V = vegan (or at least mostly)
OL = ovo-lacto vegetarian
vf = vegan-friendly

Sherpa's Kitchen, the Nepalese place on King St, has vegan options.

There's also Red Lantern in Surry Hills which has a good vego menu, and only two things on it aren't vegan. That place is pretty upscale and expensive though.

That's where that guy from Ready Steady Cook works!

I will also have to visit them (or at least Sherpa's Kitchen).

I really like it, and I was trying to get my work to go there for my going-away, but it's hellaspensive : ( I only go there with my parents, so I wasn't aware how spensive it was.

Not sure about Vina being (V). I found it weird that they had vegan everything . . . except their desserts which almost all contained milk and honey =/

I'll bookmark this and comment if I have anything to add!

ETA: Oh, and that African place on Enmore Road is pretty awesome. Possibly totally vegan, but at least has many options. I've only been there once.

(I couldn't edit my comment because you replied, biotch!)

Oops. I would probably need more than "that African place".

Maybe you could take me there for my birthday?

There's an Iku Wholefood and Mama Chu's in Darlinghurst as well

Oh yeah I know there's other Iku's (also other burgerlicious's). Haven't gotten around to adding them.

Although it's strictly true that Mother Chu's serves honey, there is only one dish which contains it (that being the honey pumpkin)

You strangely left out Hungry Jack's with its vegie burgers.

I believe there are more things with honey. Last time I went, which was January this year, there were several honey things.

It isn't vegan.

Was that the Mother Chu's where I took you? If so, did the menu state that these things had honey in them? This is new information to me.
