Yeah, I really liked both of them. I wish I knew more about Spanish history - apparently Pan's Labyrinth is in some ways a parable of their history.

Yeah - it hasn't been confirmed that England will happen yet, but I hope so. I'll know by next week! It will be very good if so.

I'm glad you agree about Jadey's catness. I will have to inform her of this.

wilco! yay. i am lucky. i am seeing them twice in april. which will bring it up to a total of 5 times i have ever seen wilco. eeeeexcellent. do you think jeff tweedy will do some secret solo side shows? that'd be nice.

do you have the jeff tweedy dvd? IT IS FANTASTIC. GET IT. if you don't maybe i can get you a copy for your birthday. belated, but still...

what did you think of camera obscura? they were pretty good here...tali white was jumping up and down in the front like he was on a pogo stick.

Camera Obscura were pretty good. They got the crowd dancing, which was good. It was interesting how similar they are to Belle and Sebastian. I felt like the lead singer had cruel eyes. Good songwriter though. The keyboard player was cute.

I don't have the Tweedy DVD - I have meant to get it, but haven't quite got around to it. But can you believe that "Is That The Thanks I Get?" is not on the album?

I don't know about secret solo side shows. You'd have to ask him about that. I'd like to think you could just watch him playing random acoustic songs backstage though, like in I Am Trying To Break Your Heart. He'd just spend all of his spare time playing songs.

Cambridge eh? We must catch up in Cambridge. My host sister from Germany is a fellow at the university there, la di da! Anyway it's not very far away, and should you wish to spend some time in London there's always an air mattress with your name on it!

A good post and all things worthy of individual comment. But I didn't know Glenn was supporting Wilco, and now thanks to you I do, and I'm now looking forward to seeing them again even more, because I never seem to quite manage to catch him solo for various reasons.

Hurrah for only updating your livejournal every few months! That's my philosophy, anyway.

Good luck with the Doobie Brothers.

He can be a bit hit and miss solo, depends on the attentiveness of the audience. Don't see why the full band isn't doing it though!

Yeah, the every so often update does me well at the moment.
