Penelly of penelly fame has nudged me. I have a tumblr now, which I'm posting at. Mostly links to articles I've found, with occasional mp3blogging and musings on this and that.

How does Tumblr compare to LiveJournal? Does it have the social aspects (a friends aggregator, friends-only posts, &c.)?

It has a friends aggregator, but I rarely use it because I usually use google reader anyway. It doesn't have friends only posts, but that isn't much of an issue for the kind of blog I'm doing. I've mostly used tumblr because it's easy to use and straightforward and I felt like a new start. LJ's still probably the best for personal blogging I reckon.

I have such a hard time keeping up with all the different sites my friends have subscribed to that I don't know that I'd remember to head over to your tumblr too often...

Hope you're doing okay back in Forbes, you'll get back on your feet before you know it!

These days I mostly use Google Reader to read things - livejournal doesn't work too good with it because of friends-only posts, but pretty much everything else you can read from there, it brings all the blogspots and wordpresses and tumblrs etc together.
