How about if you just thank me and we plan dinner. I'm done here and ready to come home, but I don't want to fight. I thought we could order in something light and go out later. Babylon or the competition. Your choice.
Who said FIGHT? I asked some serious questions and I want some serious answers. I won't leave this hanging unresolved.
Even if we EVER agree to share expenses (and that has not happened yet), there is no reason in hell for YOU to pay Peter's expenses. Maybe someday you can share some expenses for the loft or even for Gus, but Peter is not related to you.
(You see, I did not say that Gus is not related to you, because, okay, he is. Sort of. But Peter is not.)
My serious answer is that I had the money, I saw the bill and I wanted to pay it. So just thank me, if that's possible, otherwise, okay - I won't pay Peter's tuition again.
Why are you so upset? It's like you don't want me EVER to be in a position where I could share expenses with you. Or God forbid, pay YOUR expenses. What's with that?
You were pretty nasty in your original post and I let it go, but it's hard to just IGNORE your stance on Peter, distinguishing him somehow because he's not my blood. You didn't even want him here, remember? I feel as responsible for him as you do and I don't think he would ever have stayed with us but for me. If I recall properly, you were kicking and screaming when Claire suggested we spend some time with him.
So I'm coming home now. I hope you'll have moved past this when I arrive.
You realize, of course, that we're ignoring the elephant in the room; me by going to the store before you got home, you by going to pick up the take-out food as soon as I came in the door
