One of my friends in Japan saw it and said it's a really wonderful and moving movie (and quite sad). I'm looking forward to it. :D

No idea if you know this or not with your semi-English background, but the Borrowers is a British children's book series, and this looks like pretty much the same story.
There was a TV series back in the early 90s that I vaguely remember not liking much, and a film in the late 90s that was... not great.

Ghibli's version looks way better!
