songs that get to you

How come it's impossible to turn off a beautiful song even if it's pulling you even further down than you already feel???

Top 5 songs that get to me:

1) Man of Golden Words - Mother Love Bone

2) Not Dead - Unified Theory

3) Nutshell - Alice In Chains

4) Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl Jam

5) Steel Rain - Chris Cornell

I couldn't agree with you more. Nutshell has been played many a time in the past week or so in my poxy little flat. You kinda get sucked in...

Modern Life Is War-First and Ellen
American Nightmare-Farewell
Smashing Pumpkins-Disarm
Hopesfall-The End of An Era
Nine Inch Nails-Hurt

thats the best i could come up with right now.. i love these songs yet i'd rather listen to songs with a more positive vibe to them, or at least songs that offer a positive solution..

actually im gonna have to replace first and ellen by modern life is war's 'im not ready' seeing that it's a better fit in this category.

ow jesus... how could i forget about the most depressive song known to man.. which is 'untitled' by silverchair.

i listened to 'your' songs and i liked nutshell and steel rain a lot. in steel rain there's this one part where one guitar plays a part that sounds exactly like the intro for purple haze by hendrix. it really messed me up. i was like.. huh? where'd hendrix come from and then i figured out that it was just in the song.
I am too smart...
