I'll probably have several more questions to ask you within the next week or so as I am putting a lot of thought into my purchase.

I don't have a lot of money to spend and I was considering a Dollfie from Volksusa.com, but I have run into a problem. I would like to make a boy, but the only male bodies they sell do not have hollow eyes. If I'm going to be purchasing a doll, I would prefer to spend a few more dollars to put in eyes as opposed to slapping on decals or drawing them in myself. What other websites sell cheap Dollfie (or similar) bodies? My price range is about twenty-five dollars. I saw someone online has a male Dollfie Plus (the type is specified in a comment near the bottom. I would ask the girl myself, but she does not speak English very well) and am wondering where I could find one.

EEek. I don't know much about Dollfies. I'm sorry. Try the (dolls related to BJD) index for some forums where they can help you.

Thank you, anyway! :)

Yet another question (I hope I'm not too annoying): what should be used to paint and seal lips to make them shiny in appearance?

Most people use chalk pastels or acrylic paint for faceups; Mister Super Clear or Testors Dullcote for sealant and gloss varnish or acrylic gloss for shine. Hope that helps. And it's not annoying at all. ;)

Well, it depends on if you want a dollfie (vinyl) or super dollfie, which is resin. The next question is the size. Then you can work around how much money you have. I reccommend Bobobie, B&G, DollZone or Angel of Dream for people with small budgets. (you can find links to their websites in the very last index of this journal.) They all sell boys.

If you want a dollfie made of Vinyl, then you should join Lunar Ark. They will be better able to help you.

Wow, the number of sites here is just mind boggling...

Just one question. I want to customise my dolfie's face... I wonder if it's possible?

Actually, I am a little behind on updating the list, there are probably twenty more by now. :P

As far as customizing ther face...Well, that depends; are you talking about a vinyl dollfie? If so, the most you can do is to paint it, I *think*. I don't know much about the vinyl dolls, sorry.

If it's resin, it can be sanded, dyed, painted, and sculpted on to. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Best of Luck!

Thank you for the list of links! It was sooo much fun looking at all the different dolls xD So there are actually so many companies making them... *__*

Anyway, ah... I noticed that a lot of the dolls on the websites are actually sold out... Does this mean they're sold out for good, or they're just sold out temporarily, and will make more later?

Some dolls are limited, and when they sell out, they are gone forever and can only be bought on the second hand market.

Other dolls are standard dolls and will be restocked. Each website should say if they are limited or special. If you have a question about a specific doll, feel free to ask here or on Den of Angels. :)

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the reply xDDD I just got another question.. sorry for being so annoying ^^" Can I use a head from one company and put it together with a body from another company?

This can be tricky. I would say yes and no. Some necks are too wide for other company's heads, and some have mechanisms and other things that might make it difficult. However, if you commission a customizer (or do it yourself), you can modify the head you like to fit nearly any body. Feel free to ask more questions, anytime. :)
