how can i aquired one? how can i be sure that they'll ship the doll intact?can you please give me a clue on how to get one.

You can order a doll from one of the many doll makers. It will arrive whole, (most dolls do) and the company will pack it safely. To order, pick a doll, go to the website of the people that make that doll. Put the doll you want in your shopping cart and complete the order. They will send it to you, have no fear. Try one of the many companies in the Index. Good Luck!

I'm not a gossip, and usually keep to myself. But...one of the doll world's largest collectors (bjd's) has gone from rags to riches in two years, and has (and continues to) pull a scam on one of South Florida's wealthy elderly. It's all been reported to the Florida Fraud Unit, so things will come out in the wash eventually, but this person has built her doll collection not on "hard work" but on preying on the elderly. I was just getting very involved in doll collecting, and now have a bad taste in my mouth. Is this what it's all about -- scamming others to build your collection so you can brag about how many dolls you own?

Just because one person has done bad things doesn't make us all like that. The majority of us just like dolls and are just normal people. I don't think most normal people would try to scam the elderly. I'm sorry you have a 'bad taste in your mouth', but I can't be responsible for all bjd-collectors. Please come back when you have a question or comment about the dolls themselves. Thanks! :)
