I was wondering coz i had seen it in the forums if real makeup would be used for faceups, i found a good blushing color (NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder) and before i use it and possibly stain my doll, do you think it or other basic non oil based makeup would work instead of chalk pastels?

I have not used makeup on any of my resin so I can't say. Most makeups do have oil in them though, so be careful experimenting.

What about prismacolor final fixative? anonymous December 17 2010, 04:28:02 UTC
I was wondering if Prismacolor Final Fixative matte would work as a safe sealant?

I honestly don't know. I have not tried to use anything but Mr Super Clear since my first substitution mistake. Sorry. My best help would be to read the contents of this spray and see if there is any oils or acetones in it.

This is likely old buuuut - any idea if Americana is good, for acrylic paints? Liquitex is a tad pricey.

Any acrylic paint is fine but more expensive paints do deliver a better and easier result.

Hiya, would a no oil makeup remover be ok to remove faceups?

I would not recommend it since I have no idea whats in that. Rubbing alcohol is very cheap and easy to obtain. Try that.
