Hey, my name is Sarah. I live in the United States. I searched for people's journals who live in Iran, because recently my mother has been reading a lot about Iran and the woman's place there (which seems very little) I wanted to talk to someone who came from there I guess. We read a lot about child executions in Iran, a girl named A*t*tefah, you can search her on youtube.com without the stars in the name and how she was killed at only sixteen. IT makes me so very sad. And so sad to see so many girls being told they can't do anything or they have no place. What do you think about living there, and your place, as a woman? I am so glad to see that you are in a university, that is wonderful. I, too, am starting University (here we call it going to college) and I can't wait. Maybe you should consider changing your line of career from Tourism to management to smoething else? What about being a professor? Or something else in the hospitality industry..Though, I am not sure what women are allowed to do there. I hope you dont find this

If you want to find other people on livejournal from Iran, then go to "Edit Profile" then search for "Manage Accounts" and click that. Then click "View Status" and change yours to a PLUS account. It is free, but livejournal will ask you to choose some topics that will be advertised on your site (it's not that bad though.) Then, in the right hand corner, go to the search box, and click the dropdown box (right now it probably says interests, but click the drop down box and choose "region," then type in Iran and quite a few journals come up, but some are written in Russian. Do a lot of Iranians speak Russian? Anyway, that is so sad about the woman by your house being killed by her husband's family. That is so bad!! Here, if a woman cheated on her husband, they would just get a divorce and she would be free to have her own job, own house, raise her children. Did you ever think about visiting the United States? There is much more freedom for women here. Reading about your country makes me very thankful for the privileges I have as a woman
