What is going on with Bjork.com?

Bjork.com has been acting very strange lately. At first it was down for awhile I think about a week ago. Now the forums can't be accessed at all. Every time you try to connect to 4um.bjork.com, it takes you directly to the homepage ( Read more... )

Since it is run by volunteers, that is a fairly lofty request.

I too, would love to access the forum but I guess we will just have to hold tight!!

A fairly lofty request would be "Please upgrade the forum so we can embed flash video!" or "We want video avatars!".
"Please keep it running" is a minimal request, especially since both the site and the 4um have been left on their own to degrade for years!

I suppose, but volunteer is volunteer, we should be grateful for whatever we get..

I know the site is run my volunteers, but what has happened between 2000 (when Websense combined with the UI) and now? Bjork isn't nearly as active now as she was back then, so I don't know why suddenly regular maintenance of the site just seems oh-so time consuming. If anything the site should be in tip-top shape considering there hasn't been a lot going on until now.

From what I gathered, whomever is running the website these days is doing maintenance. I don't think it's because of new stuff though, just maintenance. I too found that the 4um was redirecting to the front page. I assume their updating that then and they're directing everyone to the frontpage while they/he/she is busy doing that.
