And that would be while despite generally liking Mac more than PC, I'm a droid user instead of iPhone ;-)
While there are often times when I can see why they picked their way instead of men and I can understand why that would, overall, make it easier to use by the majority of the population, I think they're just wrong as far as the current iTunes issues.
I'm having an issue now that I've filled up my 160G Pod and I want to switch computers. I still have all my CD's but have been buying digitallly for a few years as those places called 'record stores' have become somewhat difficult to locate. It's amazing they can make a 1TB portable HD but not an iPod of similar capacity. Can I link to your post in a music rant? :)
I wonder why iTunes is pooping out on you - that is, I wonder what design assumptions they made that your music list has gone past design parameters on.
(And my ignorance speaking here, but is there some way to trick iTunes into making multiple, smaller iTunes instances, such that each individual iTunes library is small enough to have good performance again? )
