So it's been a month year of sunday's since I last posted and what do I come back. My BIL called last night to tell us that there is a good possibility that his Reserve unit is being deployed to Afghanastan in September for a YEAR (or so they are being told. He does not believe that it will only last a year). I'm so freaking pissed! Me and hubby

It's good to see you back, but sorry about the circumstances of your post. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through, and will keep your BIL and your family in my prayers.

You have a great idea in organizing some fun times before he is deployed. The trip to Atlantic City sounds like it will be fun, and will let all of you focus on enjoying each other's company.

Thanks for the prayers! I really do appreciate them. After I've had a moment to think clearly and re-read my post now I feel a little dramatic. Looking on the bright side it's not like he is going to the front lines of Iraq so I am thankful for that. I think it's more shock that he has to go to the middle east at all. And then to have to go for a year. Very shocking to the system. But I am going to pack in as many fun get together as I can before he leaves.

I'm so sorry that your bil is headed over there. It is scary and I can only imagine the feelings you all are having.

I hate that there really doesn't seem to be any end to this war.

I think a weekend in Atlantic City would be perfect for everyone!!

Scary with a capital S-C-A-R-Y!! LOL! I doubt we will ever be 100% comfortable about the idea but we are starting to feel better. Especially because my BIL is being such a trooper (no pun intended). I am looking forward to the AC trip. I'm now trying to figure out if I want to make it a b-day surprise or what?
