I watched about 30 minutes of it and just couldn't get into it. And I loved the series so I was really surprised by how much I wasn't engaged by what was going on.

In other words, I agree that there was a lack of depth that I was really, really expecting to help deepen the series. It just felt flat. And that's sad.

I have the DVD but still haven't watched. How sad is that?! I was so looking forward to it when I first heard about it. I wonder if it suffers so since E.J Olmos directed...?
