Well, I have visited the wizard, and after having my eyes turned into scrambled eggs and doing football impersonations, I now have new eyes. Thanks Wiz! Further to that, paying AUD 988.00 per eye instead of the outrageous AUD 2900.00 per eye demanded up here in Brisbane - priceless ( Read more... )

Hiya! Well, it was a lot less fun than I had anticipated. Turns out my family has a history of being slow to react to local anaesthetic and forgot to mention this to me. I am definitely glad I did both eyes at once, and not one at a time. That night after surgery was pretty hard, and the following day visibility was virtually nil due to being unable to open swollen eyelids. You definitely need a carer with you for the full day on surgery day. However, every hour after that the improvement was noticable. I am still having a bit of trouble with the computer monitor, but that is also improving daily. Let me know if you want more info, but do check out their website. The only additional charge that I incurred in relation to the actual procedure was about 50 bucks for some meds plus 6 bucks for Vit C tablets.
