maybe an ibm think pad?

the people i know who have them really like them (and i've liked using them) they're really small and basic, and get good reviews.

i used to have a dell which was fine, but huge and clunky. macs are more expensive but you get a better operating system (in my opinion) and don't have to worry about viruses and spyware bullshit.

the mini-macs aren't intended to be a portable computer - that is, unless you want to port it around to different monitors - it's just a harddrive so you still need a keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.

hope that helps!

Wow, you have magic bean buyers on your list of interests.

If you like wuxia, I recommend wuxia novels - there are english translations available online for free.

Or you can search on yahoo. I highly recommend smiling proud wanderer, the legendary siblings, legend of the white-haired maiden to name a few.

I read a posting from earlier in the year that you were looking for evidence of Stu Shein playing for the Knicks and Bulls in the 1960s.

My father runs an auto body shop and met the man today, Aug. 27, 2006, in St. Petersburg, Fla. He wanted me to Google him to find out about his career.

Oddly, I can't find anything, even in a NY Times archives search. I can tell--he does exist. He specifically mentioned his time with the Knicks.

MET HIM ON A CRUISE SHIP, STU IS A FRAUD BIG TIME. HE NEVER EVER
PLAYED IN THE NBA. BEING INVOLVED INDIRECTLY WITH THE NBA SINCE 1970,
THIS SCMUCK NEVER WAS PART OF THE NBA. I WOULD LOVE TO RUN INTO
HIM AGAIN ON A FUTURE CRUISE!!

I ran into Stu Shein three weeks ago on a cruise.
He goes around wearing NBA clothes and has everyone convinced.
When I talked to cruise staff - they were aware of his NBA reputation, but when they looked into it had never found anything to substantiate.
He seems to be a real personable gentleman otherwise.
