my pdoc gives me samples and only charges 62.50 for the 1st visit and then 35 after that. thats at the midtown counseling center. also try calling the church health center and explaining what has happened and see if they can't get you in to see a pdoc right away who can give you free meds. withdrawing like you are can't be fun. when i was about to lose my shit they helped me out. the person you should ask to talk to is jane slatery (slate er ee), the psych nurse. she should be able to help you figure something out.
This journal post was from the beginning of January and I still haven't managed to taper completely off what is left of my medication. Yesterday, the fourth day of not taking anything, I was really physically sick. A couple days before, I thought I'd pretty much made it through, but no such luck. Since January, I've been breaking open pills with a safety pin and trying to take just a few granules to taper off. Even since, I still get sick.
Thanks for the tip. I wish I had insurance so I could just get back to taking the stuff regularly, at the correct dose. I found a medication that's worked for me for five years and now I can no longer pay for it. Fuck.
