Thank you! My friend is a hairdresser, actually. She did the blonde streak for me. She didn't dye it right down to the root because she said that would cause more damage. To be honest, I've had this streak for a little over two months maybe, and NOW it's starting to feel dry and brittle. I mean, it looks fine, but when I touch it I cringe a little. It may just be this crappy conditioner I've been using... I'll have to switch it out and try my old stuff again.
Ahhh interesting. Yea I've never dyed my hair. That kind of scares me but your hair looks so cool in the pictures . . . it's tempting.
With regards to your question - have you tried googling natural hair salons in NYC. I found one down here in Philly. I will probably go check it out after my hairs grows out a bit more. I'm thinking locs might be fun.
Pretty Pretty!! I have blonde in some of the front parts of my hair, then a random back section to where it's uneven. My hair has grown a lot since I last did it so the blonde is no longer as visible
Despite walking past it almost everyday to go to work, I don't know the name, but theres a place on West 115th and Lenox Ave/Malcolm X Blvd in Harlem. A friend of mine commutes from upstate just to go get her conrows done there and on the weekends women literally wait outside for their turn to get their hair done so its worth a shot.
