Wet 2 Dry Hair Straightner...
Hey Lovelies, just curious if any of you have ever used a Wet to Dry Hair Straighter? I saw an infomercial recently, where a woman flat ironed her hair straight out of the shower but of course none of the ladies were black, so i wasn't sure what to believe. I don't see what makes that iron so special. I had one and I never used it while my hair was wet and when I used it while it was dry it wasn't that great compared to my CHI "knockoff" (it's a GVP from Sally's which is compared to the CHI but cheaper)
Even if you didn't have tightly coiled hair adding heat like that to your hair damages it like crazy. You're literally frying your hair which can cause broken/damaged/weak hairs, split ends and even hair loss! Plus when using a flat iron or anything of that sort it's better to already have the hair detangled and it's hard for the hair to be completely detangled without "stretching" it by either using a blow dry comb attachment or letting it dry in single braids. Overall just don't do it. The sizzling you'll hear & the smoke/steam you'll see is more than the water hitting the heat.
