Thinking of going blonde?

Hey girls!

I love this lj! Being a bottle blonde myself, I decided to create a site about going blonde, with tips, instructions, before and after pictures and a special section dedicated to Asian blondes!

Come take a look http://www.bleachedblonde.net and do give me some feedback!

my main problem with your bleaching tutorial is that a lot of people with previous color in their hair will try and use it and damage their hair beyond repair without getting it up to the desired point. you don't mention color remover, which can be the crucial bridge between getting your hair fried at orange and making it up to a level 7 or 8. you should also take care to state that everyone's hair will take bleach differently - mine is thick and coarse and extremely sturdy when taking abuse. someone with finer, thinner hair would have very different results and a different point at which their hair would be exhausted. you don't state at what point to put the bleach on your roots for optimum results or when to apply it to your ends - ideally, if you're doing home bleach, the midshaft goes first, followed by roots, followed by ends. you tell them to part it into four sections but don't add how to section as you're applying, what to apply with, or what consistency the bleach should be. you say nothing about how long to leave it on based ( ... )

i also REALLY THINK you should remove this:

Guaranteed to lift the toughest dark hair to a bright platinum.

you don't know what is going on with the countless heads of hair that might use this tutorial. guaranteeing anything is a horrible idea.

sorry for a third -
40 vol isn't necessary for every head of hair and certainly should not be used twice over itself in one day, why would they need a bottle if they needed a brush? virgin snow toner WILL NOT WORK unless your hair is a level 10, and shimmer lights takes in a way that is uneven and patchy - it can also turn certain parts blue/purple and leave other parts yellow.

my recommendations are -
- virgin snow if you're a level 10
- bowl and brush application
- 20vol and 40vol
- tressa watercolors violet shampoo
