I'd like to see Ceres upgraded... but hey.

I think it's neat... and the fact we've actually defined what a planet is is... "good".... after 932098432 million years of life on this planet looking up at stars/planets....

I think it makes sense, really.

Considering that Pluto is nothing more than a captured Trans-Neptunian object (as is Neptune's moon Triton), they HAD to degrade it to dwarf planet status because if they didn't, they'd have to count 90377 Sedna (2003 VB12), 50000 Quaoar (2002 LM60), 20000 Varuna, 2003 UB313 (provisionally Xena), etc as planets. Especially 2003 UB313, as it is bigger than Pluto. So it makes sense. Pluto is nothing more than a tiny speck of rock and ice in terms of our solar system anyway.
