Name: Megamind
From: Dreamworks “Megamind”
Appearance:
Age: Who knows?
Gender: Male
Personality: Megamind is really just a product of his environment. He was sent to earth, landing in a prison, so the prison people taught him all they knew, like criminal stuff meant good. He’s always been upstaged by his rival, Metro Man, who could do everything better than him. This leads him to be desperate for people to take him seriously, even if he’s not cut out for the job of being a villain. Deep down he’s just your average guy trying to make his place in the universe, and usually gives what he does everything he has. He is very smart intellectually, but doesn’t know how to function in society all that well.
Backstory:
Megamind was sent from his home planet at an early age (it was falling into a black hole) out into space, with his parents prophesizing that he was destined for greatness. However, on the next planet over it seemed another family had the same idea with their son, and sent him as well. This boy soon became Megamind’s all-time rival, Metro Man. They went to the same school, despite Megamind being raised in a prison. Metro Man was highly praised for his talents, but all of Megamind’s achievements ended in disaster. It was here that he realized that maybe he was -destined- to be the bad guy. That maybe being BAD was the one thing he was good at!
Their battles quickly got more elaborate. Metro Man would win some, Megamind would ALMOST win others…They frequently fought over a news reporter named Roxanne Ritchi, who is so used to being kidnapped that Megamind’s tricks just don’t work on her anymore. He tries super hard to be threatening, but he’s lately just become “soooo predictable!” He’s also started to develop feelings for Roxanne, but she’d never date him (can’t blame her, he hasn’t exactly been very hospitable for her).
Moral Standing: Despite his occupation, he really is a good guy at heart. He does evil things because he believes that’s the only thing he’s good at, and it was his destiny. He’s actually very comical and not very threatening. As for good vs. evil, he’d be on evil for the most part.
Dreams: He wants people to take him seriously AND to be the world’s greatest super villain. He’s seen as more of a nuisance in his world than a threat, because Mega Mind usually takes care of him and puts him behind bars, but he still hopes to defeat his rival one day.
Fears: He’s afraid of pain and spiders. Or both.
Extra:
-He has a tendency to mispronounce words wrong. Some examples would be:
School = Shool
Dragon = Droogon
Metro City = Metrocity
-He has two different suits. His regular suit and his “Black Mamba” suit. Only difference is that one is fancier than the other.
-He’ll often have witty little conversations that make sense, but with a jumbled up way of saying it. An example would be “The greater good of bad!”
-He has a watch that acts as a disguise operation system. He can turn into anyone he pleases with it.
