I Feel it is Imperative to Warn You

Do not let the children in your life convince you to take them to Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squequel. Poor poor Zach Levi. Poor Wendy Mallik. Poor me. It's like they put cliches in a blender and filmed it. Only the animators and actors and stuff clearly tried really hard. But crap is crap.

Well, now I'm very glad that I didn't allow my mother to convince me to see this film. Very glad.

Yes, I am speaking as someone who enjoyed both Alvin and the Chipmunks One and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. This is not the film for you.

Well, I guess we can never speak again.

There were elements to like, like Wendy Mallik as an aging Chipmunk fangirl, but it just seemed randomly strung together to me.

Yes! Never speak to me again! *flounces off*

Srsly, I didn't think it was nearly as much fun as the original. I wanted Dave back. But I didn't hate it. I just wish I hadn't spent like fifty dollars on tickets and popcorns *whimpers*.

Yeah, much as I find Zach Levi acting adorable that character blew. They had already paired off Dave and grew him up, so I guess they felt they needed to do it again. Only they really didn't bother. It's like the had the paint by numbers kit out but couldn't be bothered to actually fill it in.
