1) Apparently I am incapable of both a) being brilliant and b) writing brilliantly at the same time. This is evidenced by my professors claiming that I do one well and not the other in assorted papers. It makes me wonder how good my papers would be if I actually tried to do either, let alone both.

The Mets are tied with the Cards in the top of the eighth and it's raining at the stadium. My boys have to pull through this and they have to do it soon because I am inches away from an honest-to-goodness heart attack. Why do I always get so into this?
