Outdoor pizza oven ala blacksmith
As a blacksmith, I’ve built several forges -- 4 at last count, and rebuilt a couple of others. I know something about heating and getting high temperatures in an open space.

I wasn't sure I'd get any shop time in tonight, was feeling kinda tired after work, but after a light dinner I decided to give it a shot. On the pizza wheel front, I tried using the heat-treat oven again, but quenching in water. Result: the test piece hardened all the way through, even under a quarter inch of refractory on each side. Building a better pizza cutter, the third wave
Series 1 was the original, in use in my kitchen for several years -- lacewood handle, damascus blade; series 2 was the last set, with 3 useable blades and 2 completed cutters. TIme for series 3.

Cable Damascus Kukri
So, I made a cable damascus kukri.
This is a knife I've been envisioning for years. To me, somehow, the combination of the pattern in welded cable just seemed to match the curves.

Cube coathook in patina'd stainless
I realized I wanted a place to hang my coat in my cube, so I decided to make one. It's made from stainless hex stock, twisted and scrolled. From igniting the forge to polishing up the highlights took about 2.5 hours.
