Summary: Batman is very happy with the way that Robin has picked up his training, his methods and his habits. Generally. But his protege showing up at the Batcave with two small children, Tim and Jason, clinging to him proves he's adopted one trait Batman would have rather he hadn't. It seems the batfamily has an incurable penchant for picking up

They are so sweet, but I can understand Jason's reaction. His mother is an addict, and he's been living on the streets for more then a few months now. He's seen what needles and shots can do first hand; needles are to him as suns are to Bruce. Of course its not as strong in your universe because Mrs. Todd never died, but they still have a permanent effect on him.
On another note good work with Tim. I really had no idea negligence could cause such harmful results. May he get lots of love from everybody...oh who are they kidding, even if the plan fails, Jason would sooner know his own arms off then let Tim go back 'home.' Kidnapping charges be damned, he wouldn't let Tim go for anything (its not like the police could press charges against an eight year old anyways).

That is a very good point about Jason's fear of needles. One I hadn't consciously considered, so kudos to you!

I've been doing a lot of research on child neglect recently and it's pretty horrifying. The long term effects of emotional neglect can be just as if not more damaging in the long run than physical child abuse.

Very true. Jason will do everything he can for Tim. Hopefully it will be enough.

Doesn't it? I just want to cuddle the poor baby and I'm the author. Jason is a very proud kid, isn't he?

I love Leslie, so, so much! Bruce is lucky to have both her and Alfred on his side. They're both such fierce warriors when it comes to the chicks in their care. All of them. :)

I'm so glad you like Leslie. I haven't read much about her so I wasn't completely sure about her characterization.

Bruce is incredibly lucky to have both her and Alfred. He'd be lost without their guidance and he knows it.
