Meeting in a Dream - Part 1

Warnings: Fluffy.. sorta not really you be the judge, OOC, Shonen - Ai,

Omi groaned and dropped to his knees cradling his ribs. He knew that he had at least  a few of them were broken and that he was lucky that they hadn’t pierced his lungs, it seemed to his as if his luck had run out as the prodigy of Schwarz stood in front of him.

“Prodigy.” growled Omi.

“I would think that Abyssinian and Siberian would be the ones to growl and not you, little Bombay.” said Prodigy, Omi swore that there was pain behind those words, but he ignored that, prodigy was blocking the door, the building was staring to collapse quicker and he was in no condition to fight his way out. Weiss had underestimated the targets bodyguards, which had for once had NOT been Schwarz. The bombs that Omi and ken had set earlier had been tampered with and connected to a light switch. When the bodyguards saw there employer they flipped the switch and set off the bombs. Now true to their destruction the bombs were collapsing the building. He had to get out. He had to make sure that everyone was okay. But with Prodigy blocking his way that was becoming difficult.

“Get out of the way,” growled Omi “Now.”

“It’s obvious that your in no condition to fight and neither am I nor am I able to use my talent, so we are on even ground here-“said Prodigy before he was cut off by Omi’s angry shout.

“MOVE PRODIGY!”

“Nagi Naoe.” muttered Prodigy.

“What?” said Omi baffled.

“My name is Nagi Naoe.” Nagi said, approaching the older boy who was still cradling his ribs. “Haven’t you done any research on us? You don’t even know our real names?” Omi just stared at Nagi as he approached, but when Nagi reached out a hand to help him up, he flinch back away from it. Nagi sighed and crouched down beside Omi.

“Come on, now you’re being silly. We’re not all that bad, good guys with bad employers*.” He said, Omi looked at him suspiciously then sighed in resignation and allowed Nagi to help him to his feet.

The two boys staggered out of the door, pieces of the building falling dangerously close to them but being deflected away by Nagi’s telekinetic. They had just made it a few yards away from the building when a second explosion rocked the building sending pieces of concrete, ash and electronics raining down on them. Dashing a few more away from the building, Omi turned back and he thought, but couldn’t be sure as his vision started to blur, that he saw figures running away from the building. He saw Nagi drop down beside him, but didn’t remember falling. Letting out a small groan he let the darkness claim him.

Nagi woke up again a few minutes later. His head was pounding and he had cuts and bruises all over himself. His broken arm was underneath his body and the pain that shot through him was unbearable. Looking next to him he saw Bombay - Omi - also lying on his stomach and breathing heavily. There was a chocking cough from the other boy as he slowly regained consciousness.

Pushing himself on his good arm Nagi spoke. “We need to get to my team. Then can help us. C’mon.” he bent over to help Omi to his feet.

The two were concealed just beyond the lip of a large forest. Omi giggled slightly and Nagi looked at him and frowned. “Omi how many fingers am I holding up?”

Omi giggled again, then frowned, “Umm… 4 or 5… wait fingers not thumbs…”

Nagi groaned that was the last thing he needed, Omi with a concussion. “Okay Omi were going to get you some help. Come on upisy-daisy.”

Omi face went white. “Nagi I don’t feel so wel-” Omi’s stomach heaved and he dropped back to his knees and emptied his stomach on to the ground. Nagi placed an arm around his shoulders. Omi’s stomach kept heaving and tears leaked from the corners of his eyes. “Nagi it hurts, my ribs, my whole body…” he trailed off in a sob curling his body into Nagi’s arms.

Nagi fished out his cell phone and pressed the speed dial button, his arm curled more tightly around Omi’s sholders.

“Nagi thank goodness you got out! Where are you?” came Schuldig’s worried voice over the phone, he could hear Crawford’s ranting voice in the background, something about ‘He can’t be here Schuldig, he’s the enemy, I don’t care what you say’, “One second Nagi,” ‘I Crawford for once get the stick out of your butt and help him he going to bleed to death if you don’t do SOMETHING’. “Now where was I?”

“Schu what’s going on over there- never mind,” Nagi said as Omi trembled and gave another little sob, “I need you to pick me up I can’t make it home I have a little problem and my arm is broken.”

“Who’s there Nagi? I thought I heard some one crying?” said Schuldig.

“Find out when you get here. Please hurry. We’re out side the warehouse at the edge of a forest.” said Nagi the panic in his voice raised a notch when Omi’s heaved and threw up again.

“Okay, okay. I’ll be there as quick as I can.” Said Schuldig, Nagi could once again hear Crawford’s voice over the phone, but ignored it.

“Thanks Schuldig.” Nagi shut off the phone.

Omi looked up at him. “Is someone coming to help us, Nagi-kun?” he asked, and then covered his mouth and coughed. Pulling his hand away it was stained with blood.

Nagi looked at Omi’s hand and then at Omi’s face. A trickle of blood was coming from the corner of his mouth. Nagi swore violently, one of Omi’s ribs must have punctured his lungs.  Today was really not his day.

**********

“He can’t stay here Schuldig! He’ll go with you to pick up Nagi. I’ve stitched him up and he’s NOT going to stay here!” said Crawford, looking down at the older blond of Weiss.

Schuldig scowled at his leader and said, “Fine, he’ll come with me but he is staying here with me in my room. If you have a problem with that then tell some one who cares. I’m not going to let his talent rip him to pieces!” Crawford just stared at Schuldig, “Oh what you didn’t pick up on that all of Weiss has a talent, and Yohji's is about to show it’s self! Not even your Precognition is telling you that! Let’s go pick up the chibi.”

Yohji stood up and followed Schuldig out the door. Schuldig hit the button to call the elevator. They stayed silent as it came to there floor and got in.  “Is it going to be that bad Schu?” Schuldig looked over at Yohji. The blonde’s face looked pensive a frown creasing his brows. “I mean not for my self but the other I don’t know if I could see the people who I care for go through that much pain.”

“It depends on what your talent is. If it’s a mental talent then it is more likely to hurt you. If it’s a physical talent then it’s more likely to hurt the ones around you, but it’s different for everyone.” said Schuldig as the elevator dinged the garage level.

“What did it feel like for you?” asked Yohji, the worried look that had been on his face was gone now and replaced with his normal smirk.

Schuldig looked at him and taped his own chin thoughtfully. As they got into the car he responded, “To be honest I don’t remember. I can’t remember any of my life before Esset. Not even when my powers woke up.”  He started up the car and they peeled out of the garage.
