Howdy, I wanted to extend an offer of Livejournal friendship since you list Izima Kaoru among your interests. I just started getting interested in his work (since one of his pictures happened to accompany an unusually tame Ryu Murakami story in the most recent New Yorker) and was interested to see if anyone else on LJ was also...interested. So, hello :)

i came upon him during a history of photography exhibit at art museam on campus. and feel in love with his haunting images. the ones i saw were from "landscapes with a corpse." check out faprojects.com and click on 'arstists' and find him. they have some of his various works up.

Yeah, I've seen a few artists take on the death and sexuality...but his are so much more (pulls out the high fangled word (resonant), and also wow, I spent a few days looking for his images on the internet and never stumbled onto that site, thank you so much :)
