I need some advise on photo shop stuff

I want to make a new LJ layout over Christmas, but my Dad's computer has no decent photo shop type stuff for me to use. Can anyone rec some programs to use? And tell me where I can get them from? Free is a magic word ( Read more... )

If you have Windows, try Paint.NET. And yes, it's free. ;)

I know lots of people use GIMP, which is free and supposedly at least adequate if not exactly brilliant.

Also, dur, I sleepwalked through today without realising that it's Thursday and we might have met up for the last time before chrismukkha. *facepalm* So e-hugs, merry christmas, have a safe journey! xx (Also also, dude, I'm so sorry I suck at the Secret Santa-ing and didn't get your pressie in on time! I wouldn't say we were hanging about the Japan Centre, but as I was trying to convince Wendy it was ok and totally safe to pick random drinks from the fridge even though we couldn't read the label, some random (and slightly cute) Asian guy was laughing at me. Apparently, he found my 'me and Jackie always try something random when we come here. Its fun not being able to read the label!' talk amusing.

I shall make sure my posts in my new LJ contain pictures of the random fridge adventures (when and if I can ever thing of a name now that 'sarge' and 'photogeneric' are already taken)
