No More Spoilers

I'm so sick and tired of being spoiled. I'm not even given a chance to download an ep before it is all over my twitter feed, posting actual quotes etc, etc. I never post spoilers, because I know I have friends around the world who haven't seen it yet. I get that people get excited and want to chat, but do you have to post specific things ( Read more... )

Have I ever posted spoilers about SPN outside of a cut on my journal? I don't believe so. If so, it was un-intentional and handled quickly.

As for Twitter, good luck with avoiding spoilers there. Like with Tumblr, spoilers run rampant. I've been spoiled for shows there before, and by an official news source, not fans. Usually, I just stay off of Twitter the day an episode airs, until after I've seen it.

This wasn't directed at you Val :) You're very considerate when posting.

Other people don't put stuff behind cuts and twitter is a nightmare and it's normally fans posting exact storylines that hacks me off. I just wish people didn't post specific things, I was spoiled re Bobby last season and I was PISSED!!!!

Some people give warnings but some people just post away without any consideration :(

Ok, just the timing and all...

Sometimes I stay on Twitter during an ep and it's okay. Things are vague enough that I'm not spoiled, but other times, as you said, specifics are given. So it can really be a crap shoot. But I know I'm treading dangerous waters if I stay there, so it's really my own darned fault if I'm spoiled. Kind of hard to warn about spoilers on Twitter, unless you use a link to some other resource.

Twitter needs a cut feature. lol

But if I can post about my enjoyment about a show without spoiling anyone with quotes, scenes etc, then I don't understand why other people can't do it.

Everyone now has international people on their feeds etc, it just takes some consideration not to post spoilers, but I find people are selfish and just want to post no matter what :(

it would be good if you could have a filter of some sort on twitter :( I've been spoiled too. I get horribly spoiled by stuff on tumblr too and there's no official way to filter things out, only some weird add-ons that you need to know html or somesuch but that only works if people tag their things, if they post without tagging you're stuffed :(

I don't check tumblr that often tbh, so I don't get spoiled. Just wish people wouldn't post specific shit...I was hugely spoilt for HoD and Castle and it's really made me cross because it's taken some of the enjoyment away.

Leverage is coming up this weekend, I'm gonna post a warning...and that's it now, one spoiler and you're gone, if you can't be considerate then you can fuck off!! lol
