Star Wars valentines!I can't say I am a fan of valentine's day... it's just another holiday co-opted by big business to force people into spending lots of money. Unlike Christmas, however, it's gender-biased; men are supposed to be the ones buying chocolates, cooking dinner, being romantic. I'm not against the 'spending time with the SO' aspect of it; I think that's the most important part of every holiday. I just think that the commercialization of it has ruined it. If you don't normally take time out to spend time just you and your SO, then Valentine's day is a good reminder to do so; however, if you're always out doing stuff, what's one more day? I'm just annoyed that the societal thinking is that 'if the man doesn't do romantic things for his woman on this day, he's a poor boyfriend/husband'. I may be completely unromantic, but that doesn't mean I'm a failure at my relationship.
