i want to believe there's something to believe
i've started so many entires but i never get around to finishing them. so this MAY end up being a compilation of sorts.
this weekend (starting AFTER my HR exam on friday) was pretty good overall, despite NOT being at skate & surf like i really would have wanted to be. but maybe i'll rewind a bit...
a couple of weeks ago
i had a dream last night in which i apparently found this wine that tasted good. and i drank a whole bottle of it and was still okay (which would never happen in real life). but someone and i went to the lcbo (which seemed more like a bar in the dream) to get more alcohol and i thought i didn't have ID on me so i stayed out. then the bouncer left so i just walked in. then he came up to me and asked for my ID, which i then remembered i had. my purse was a mess and i had to dump it out and sort through a million cards haha. then i found my ID and he took it away for a sec, then came back and it was in like 5 layers and he said it was fake and i protested. i think i had to leave.
last weekend
saturday night (the 10th) a ton of people went out for onyx13 robyn's birthday! :) we went to duff's, a well-known wings place. i'd never been before, although meryn's ex's family owns the place so i first heard about it from her (after they were dating though). the game was on and the place was packed (waayyy smaller than i imagined it!) but we got a table for a bunch of us. the wings were good, but nothing soo special, in my opinion. i had a great time though, had some good and fun conversations and got my drink on a bit hehe. i had 2 smirnoff ices (therefore i got a bit drunk).
then jon drove robyn, jesse & me.. we came back up here and went to sports nut. hahaha. that was also a lot of fun. i tried amaretto sour... yummy! all i could think of was soco amaretto lime! heehee. i'm a nerd. greg afs gave me a ride home quite late :)
sunday was overall not as good because of some of the people, i guess. it was meryn, sean, jesse, me, and the people who meryn brought./they brought.. 4 girls and a guy. i went to high school with one of the girls. what a bitch (she laughed at me when she saw me and apparently later told one of meryn's friends that she used to laugh at me and make fun of me all the time in high school cos i was a loser. riiiiight...)
long story short, we were gonna go to this club called money, but ended up not going right away. we walked around, went into some place (the bouncer started questioning me about my ID and i have no idea how, but i managed to convince him to take it and let me in. go team me.) had a couple of drinks, then headed off walking again. i don't think we went in anywhere else but EVENTUALLY got in line at money. 2 of meryn's friends got in cos they knew someone, so we decided to do otherwise. meryn, sean, jesse & i went off on our own and went.. oh right to velvet underground. we got there at like 1 i think. i had a smirnoff, we danced and watched other people dance funny, then left around 2. i got kinda silly cos i drank the smirnoff quickly. late night.
last week
a good enough part of last week was quite hellish. monday sucked in a few ways and i was deterred from my essay because of crappy occurences :( i just couldn't focus and i wasn't doing too hot, emotionally. so i stayed up, took a couple of late-night naps (thanks to stefan for waking me up by calling me). stefan and i talked for quite a while when he called me.. oops. just like last time. he was up doing work too.
i finished by essay just in time to print it, get ready quickly and head to school in time for tutorial-class. when i got there, people were just sitting around with no prof. ARGHHH. then neither of our profs for that class could be found, so mark (program director) took our essays. next we had the most pointless lecture EVER, because it wasn't on the exam and he kept blabbing on and on. i almost stood up and kicked him in the head.
next, i couldn't find ryan but i bumped into adam & steve, so i sat with them for a while & we had lunch, til steve went to class and adam headed home, presumably. then ryan found me as i was walking away in search of him. yadda yadda yadda.. human resources class.. went to the mall with ryan and chrissie, found some pants which were actually capris but fit me when you undid the seam and unrolled the bottom of the pants.
wednesday and thursday we had 8 am exams and i hung out with ryan after each other them. we got bagels and did other random things like go to the mall, the village and so on. friday we met up at 9 and went to study in the engineering hall. where i saw an insanely really hot engineer who was wearing an ENGINEERING SUCKS tshirt. hehe. i kept checking him out and writing notes to ryan in my HR textbook describing my thoughts. hot engineer looked at me a bunch too and even looked back at me as he walked away about 5 to 10 minutes later (after standing around chatting with fellow engineers). definite eye contact was made as he was walking away haha. so either he thought i was a weirdo but loved the attention or thought i was cute.
at 11:30 we had our 3 hour fuck-me-up-the-ass human resources exam. it was brutal and even people who studied more than i did thought so. i don't think studying more would have really helped. afterwards, ryan and i hung out and went shopping a bit and i finally went to MEC (after sooo many stops beforehand! haha). we parted ways around 7 at the GO station at union.
OH and either on wednesday or thursday i saw someone at the GO station RIGHT after i mentioned something about them.. i didn't say hi. it was so fucked up. ask me if you wanna know who it was.
