you are laughing at someone who could have died.
i know subversion feels good, to say fuck you to society, to the "acadmia" you pay thousands of dollars to be a part of. but think about your actions, think about what youre doing and how it can affect the world around you. is that not therefore the creation of art? at least someone had the mind and concern to write about awareness, about an "art project" that could have caused pain to many lives. art is the product of thought.
i understand the point of view that most students may have towards the comment of the student director. to think that hes a silly old man who knows nothing about art, insensitive, bland, dull, like the sterile hallways of bellaire high school-- but, as i wrote before, just think-- think about your beliefs, and about others, about all consequences of one action-- and respect those who may believe differently than you. who see differently than you. its just about existing in a world where people can live in something like harmony---
but then again, i suppose, if we lived in world of something like peace, no one would have "artistic material."

good point. i realize how easy it is to critique things, especially when everyone else is doing it. Fuck the Bullshit, Fuck America, Fuck Bush, Fuck Capitalism etc. I know how cliche and trendy all of that is. I'm a college student- a priveledged college student that criticizes the mouth that feeds me, which makes that even more cliche. We drive our gas guzzling SUV's around campus so we don't have to walk, smoke Phillip Morris cigarettes, read Glamour magazines, and then bitch about how much we hate capitalism
