FYI

Apr 20, 2017 00:10

Due to LJ's change in server location and TOS, all my entries are now friends-locked and might become private, assuming this journal isn't deleted.

You can find me on Dreamwidth under blackbird_song.

If you are looking for my fics, many of them are on AO3.

I backed my LJ up too and am cross-posting from there but reading on both sites.

We're already in each other's circles on DW. I'm still hanging on here, so I'll be checking both sites daily.

I subscribed to you. How is that different than 'tracking'?

I hadn't known about tracking before now, so I poked around. It looks like 'subscribing' means the subscribed account shows up on your reading page and 'tracking' sends a notification to your inbox when the tracked account posts something. It looks like you can do one or both, but I haven't tried out the track option personally.

I hope this helps! (Also, thanks for subscribing and/or tracking.)

Thanks. They ought to explain things better.

I need to create a fic journal on DW and import my fic LJ there. Probably more important than importing my personal LJ since I do have some M/M fic. Not that I've written anything lately, but back when I was living and breathing Torchwood I did write a few short pieces. Hopefully it would get imported faster than 10+ years of LJ (which I haven't even attempted yet.)

FWIW, it's not too bad to import that much most of the time. For me, it's usually taken minutes or a couple of hours under normal load. Even under the current strain, it usually takes just a couple of days, in my experience.

Quick tip: I made the mistake of attempting to restart the community import I made a little while ago and it really screwed things up. ;-)

I've subscribed and given you access at DW. I'm over there without the underscore. :)
