It appears that the fine for not wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle in issaquah is $250. That seems pretty fucking ridiculous. I mean, i can see cars and motorbikes and scoots and pretty much any other state licensed motor vehicle, but seriously? Mandatory bicycle helmets? Fuck you issaquah

Seriously, if the state is going to enforce such ridiculous public safety laws, they really need to provide the universal healthcare that would justify the limitation of freedom.

Agreed. I would even back a helmet law for bikes when riding in traffic, but if I wanna trail ride, or just roll a quick hop over to fred meyer I don't think I should have to wear a helmet.

No i didn't get it... but i heard there was a law about helmets here, and I wanted to find out what the penalty was before willing breaking said law.

I just thought it was a nice night for a ride.
